How it started.
Tyler Ogden spent most of his twenties working in wildlife control in Texas. He learned the trade, and he learned what mattered most to homeowners: honesty about what a job will cost, accountability for the work, and results you can actually see.
When Tyler and his wife moved to Tennessee, they started Ogden Wildlife Control with a simple goal: build the kind of service they'd want to hire themselves.
Not long after, Tyler noticed mole damage in a customer's yard and realized it was specialty work. Most general wildlife and pest control companies don't focus on moles, and the results reflect that. He saw an opportunity to do it right - dedicated mole trapping with pricing that only charges for results.
Tyler knew he'd found his business.
Built from scratch.
Ogden Mole Control launched with a straightforward model: free setup, pay per mole caught. No money upfront. No payment unless there's a result you can see and verify.
The trapping itself took time to master. Tyler taught himself how to use the specialized traps that professional mole work requires. They demand a high level of skill to use effectively, and during the learning period, the business made very little money. But he stuck with it.
Then COVID hit. Everyone was home, staring at their yards, noticing damage they'd been ignoring. The calls started coming in. And because the work was good and the pricing was fair, word spread. The reviews stacked up. Referrals followed. And it took off from there.
"We just wanted to build something we could be proud of. Show up, do the work, charge a fair price."
- Tyler Ogden, FounderHow we run things today.
Ogden Mole Control is still family-run. The pricing model hasn't changed. Free setup. No trip charges. You pay when we catch a mole, and we keep coming back until they're all gone.
When a new or existing client reaches out, we get them scheduled with one of our trappers for the first available day. The trapper lets you know via text when they're on the way. You don't need to be home as long as we can access the yard. If you're not there, we send photos of the moles we catch. Invoices are sent remotely by the office.
No contracts. No credit card on file. No pressure. Just results.
Today, Ogden Mole Control has over 150 five-star Google reviews, making it the highest-rated mole control service in Tennessee. Not because of marketing. Because the work speaks for itself.
